Q. What was your background before joining Dig Insights?

Before Dig I spent 2.5yrs working at another marketing research firm, mainly specializing in the food service industry, and before that, I was completing my B.Com at Rotman Commerce, University of Toronto!

For anyone unsure of their career trajectory or want to get a university education, I’d highly recommend a business degree, given its wide range of versatility. I feel it has aided me so much in my professional development, by providing a strong toolkit of micro and macro implications of running businesses, no matter the industry.

Q. How do you think market research will change in the next 3 years?

Technology! People are only getting smarter, so the way we ask about one’s attitudes and behaviours all the way through to analysis needs to be smarter too. We’re at such an exciting time as technological developments are growing exponentially, so that means we need to be just as nimble in order to stay ahead of the curve.

Q. If you were not in market research, what work would you want to do?

I loved the idea of being an iron chef, but I’m only starting to learn to cook.
