Q. What was your background before joining Dig Insights?
I come from a multi-disciplined background, graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and Business Administration. After a short stint in the finance industry, my passion for research drew me to supplier side research and I haven’t looked back!
Before joining Dig, my past experience has been in advertising research and brand health tracking, working with a variety of clients in CPG, financial services, and food service.
Q. How do you think market research will change in the next 3 years?
Market research is slowly moving away from templated offerings, to more custom and innovative solutions. Embracing emerging technologies and integrating them into sample collection is key to success as suppliers. Device agnostic surveying, as well as more passive forms of data collection will continue to become industry standards.
Q. If you were not in market research, what work would you want to do?
I have given my mother enough stress with the amount of career changes I have already made, so I think I’ll be sticking this one out a bit longer. That said, if I were to start over I would pursue Engineering. I love working with numbers and data, so that field seems like a good fit for my analytical mind.
